Created as part of PHA’s inaugural Artists Celebration, the ceramic beans are made possible through the PHA Ceramics Studio’s state-of-the-art fabrication facilities and equipment. The unique glazes on each ceramic bean capture the bean type’s colorful resemblance.

About this bean: There are many different types of runner beans. This stem dried bean comes from the sandy soils of Drenthe, a rural province in the Netherlands. Many suggest that the beans resemble Lapwing Eggs, with vibrant color and dynamic striation. These beans have a softer, more refined taste than that of the other brown beans.
